Conner McCary

I seriously felt like I was pregnant forever. I think during any pregnancy you start to feel like that towards the end...but I only had a 4 month break between pregnancies...I had completely forgotten what it was like to not be pregnant. I was hoping I would get induced earlier- Owen was pretty big and I knew Conner was going to be too, but my doctor said the baby is just really tall, not really that big. He also said they only induce for size if they think the baby is going to be around 10.5-11 pounds or when you're at least 39 weeks. So I waited.
I was finally scheduled to be induced on the 11th but they couldn't take me cause they were full. I called again the next morning and they were still full. I was having pretty good contractions though so we went up to a mall close to the hospital and the contractions got a lot more intense. At about noon we went to the hospital and I was dilated to a 4 so they admitted me.
I walked a few laps after they got the IV going and sat on the exercise ball thing for awhile. I was really proud of myself for not getting the epidural right away...but that only lasted for about an hour.
A few hours after I got the epidural the contractions really slowed down so they broke my water and gave me some pitocin. I started to push at 10;00 and Conner was born at 10:15

He weighed 10 lbs 11 oz and he was 21 1/2 inches long.
What was that my doctor said about only inducing for size to avoid a 10.5-11 pounder?? Yeah. It's okay though, I got him back. When Conner's shoulders came out so did a whole lot of fluid, which soaked the dr's nice khaki pants from the knees down.

And here's our first family picture with all 4 of us!
