We met with the surgeon a few weeks ago and he explained more about what was going to happen and what we could expect after the surgery. We got to take a tour of the hospital too. Lot of mixed emotions going on when I saw where we'll be waiting while he's in surgery and where he's going to stay after. It definitely made me feel more comfortable, but it also made me a bit more nervous. It clicked just a little bit more that this is actually going to happen.
We scheduled the surgery for June 20th, but we had an appointment with the cardiologist today and he said he would feel more comfortable if we did it sooner. He said Conner's not in any immediate danger, and he would be okay waiting till the 20th, but it will be better for Conner, and us, if he gets it done sooner. Again with the mixed emotions...I'm nervous about him having surgery, but I'm excited for him to get better. Both his cardiologist and the surgeon said we're probably going to be surprised at how fast he puts on weight after the surgery. I'm excited for him to not have to struggle so much to breath and eat.

4 months!
This might sound weird...but I can't believe that Conner is only 4 months old. I'm pretty sure it's the sleep deprivation talking, but I feel like he should be a lot older. I'm happy it seems to be going by slow though. I know he's going to be walking and talking before I know it!
He finally started to gain a little bit of weight the past few weeks. He weighed right at 14 lbs and was almost 25 inches.
He is such a happy baby. It doesn't take much to make him smile. He's really ticklish and he has the cutest laugh!
He had rice cereal for the first time a few nights ago and he loved it! I was really surprised at how quickly he ate it. I think he likes having the food put in his mouth and all he has to do is swallow.
He hasn't been sleeping too great at night. It's like he's too tired to eat and too hungry to sleep. He seems tired, but he's hungry, but eating wears him out, so he falls asleep, but he's still hungry, so he wakes up and he wants to eat, but he's tired....it's not a very fun cycle.
He loves to watch Owen. I'm so excited for when they can play together!

Mother's Day
Such an amazing day!
Owen and Conner both slept till about 9:30 which means I got to sleep in for the first time in such a long time.
We started going to our new ward today, which means church doesn't start till 11:30 and Tome doesn't have to go to bishopric meetings. It was so nice to take my time getting ready and to have Tome there to help get the boys ready.
Today was also the first time Owen sat through all of Sacrament meeting. I was so proud. He even folded his arms for about 3 seconds during each prayer!
Since I'm not in primary anymore, I got to go to Relief Society for the first time in almost 2 years. It was awesome.
I love my boys! It's so fun to watch them interact. Owen is such a good big brother!

3 years!
Tome and I had our 3 year anniversary today. We celebrated by going out to dinner... with both of our children.
It has been an amazing 3 years, we have been so blessed. I cannot believe that we had 2 kids in 3 years, but I wouldn't have it any other way. We so did not plan on having kids so soon (it's not really that soon- Owen was born 3 months before our 2 year anniversary- it was just a little sooner than we expected) or so close together. It's amazing how everything always works out.

Conner had another appointment with the cardiologist last week. The doctor was really surprised at how well he is doing. He is still gaining weight and his color looks really good. The hole is still there though and he's confident it's not going to close on its own. He said to plan on him having the surgery sometime in May or June. I was hoping he wouldn't need surgery but I feel good about it. The idea of my little baby having to go through all of that really scares me, but I know he is going to be okay. Everything happens for a reason.
He is such a good baby. He sleeps a lot. He's on some medication to keep fluid from building up around his heart, with that and his heart working twice as hard as it should, he's one tired boy. But when he is awake (which is finally during the day and not in the middle of the night...yay) he is getting a lot more alert. It's so much fun to watch him watch his brother. I'm so excited for when they can start to play together!

Conner's blessing
We had Conner's blessing over Presidents Day weekend. It was so fun to have most of our families together. It was a bit crazy but so much fun!!
Owen was about a month older when we did his blessing, but fortunately Conner fit into the same outfit (which is a 9-12 month size, by the way, don't think it was labeled right). I love that little tux!
Tome also got me an early anniversary present/early birthday present/early Christmas present...for the next 5 years....
I love it! It is so nice to not have to take apart the double stroller just to get it in the trunk. And to not have the passenger seat all the way up cause the car seat's behind it. Yay for not having my knees in the dash board!

15 months!
I absolutely love this little man! I have so much fun with him during the day. He's getting so smart, I love watching him figure things out.
He's not talking very much yet. He can say hi, bye, mom, dad and thank you but he doesn't say them very often. He mostly just says "eeeesh". I'm not quite sure what it means, but pretty much everything is an "eeeesh".
He loves going to the park. Now that he's not scared of the grass or the little wood chips he has a lot more fun.

He is such a good big brother. If Conner starts crying he runs over and tries to put his binkie back in or he'll grab a blanket and throw it on him. He loves to give him hugs...they're kind of violent hugs, more of a head butt than anything else, but it's still pretty cute.
